Rick Rogers has been a professional embedded software engineer and software marketing manager for over 30 years. He has focused on mobile application software for the past 8 years, developing mobile software and strategic mobile engineering and marketing plans for companies such as Compaq, Intel, and Marvell Semiconductor.

John Lombardo has been working with Linux since version 0.9. His first book, Embedded Linux, was published in 2001. Since then he's worked on several embedded products, including phones and routers. John holds a BS in Computer Science and is working on his MBA.

Zigurd Mednieks is Chief User Interface Architect at D2 Technologies, a leading provider of IP communications technology, and is a consultant and advisor to companies in the field of embedded user interfaces. He has held senior management positions at companies making mobile games, communications equipment, and computer telephony applications, and has written and contributed to books on programming and communications technology.

This book is full of great information about the chakras and other yoga information. Wonderful overview of yoga in general. Also has beautiful pictures and pictures you can color yourself. I think that may be a great meditation practice. Would highly recommend!

Very well written; the author made it simple to understand the otherwise super complex metaphysical topic. Highly recommend for beginners or experienced mediators and all who wants to know deeply about mystic Yoga.

I'm a recreational reader and love tapping into all sorts of subjects. I find Harish Johari's work on the Chakras very informative and poetic. It's simple and easy to read and Johari writes from the heart. This book may very well become a prime reference for yoga instructors and eastern religious philosophers if it hasn't already. I'd highly recommend it as a Chakras reference book even if you've have read or own many.

Wonderful book & I highly recommend it to those students of eastern metaphysical traditions. As always, the late Dr Johari explains the Chakras in a well thought out method with beautiful illustrations and pictures.

With pretty colors and informative pictures that you could even hang on the wall if you framed properly. Pretty much everything you need to know about the chakras and what they represent. Can apply it to jyotish (eastern astrology) or just to energy work in general. Someone else said the sanskrit words were confusing. For true scholars, the sanskrit sounds are hold meaning in and of themselves; there aren't too many; it's authentic as is. Highly recommended.

I really enjoy this book. It contains information which I failed to find in many other books, devoted to chakra's. Only thing I'd like to add is that chakra's system connected to physical body in two side way. You can begin with end you like. But greatest benefit you can get paying attention on physical, energy and chakra systems same time. Prolonged staying in "wrong" body position with attempt to meditate can be fruitless and even harming to health.

A very interesting book which allows you to travel to new levels of the mind - a transformation for all that read it. It allows one to find peace and serenity, and helps garner trust in oneslelf. It also allows creativity to grow.

About the Author
Luke Humphrey is head coach of Hansons Coaching Services and a member of the Hansons-Brooks Distance Project. Humphrey holds a B.A. in Exercise Science from Central Michigan University, an M.S. in Exercise Science from Oakland University, and is a Certified Clinical Exercise Specialist with the American College of Sports Medicine. Humphrey is also a professional distance runner with top 10 and podium finishes in major U.S. running races from 10K to marathon, as well as two-time qualifier for the Olympic Trials.

Kevin and Keith Hanson are elite running coaches and co-founders of the Hansons-Brooks Distance Project. Kevin has earned multiple Coach of the Year distinctions in recognition of the performance of athletes racing in his programs.
